Shop Manager

Spring Lake Ranch is searching for a Shop Manager to take the lead in the repair shop department of our therapeutic work program. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing building and repair projects around the Ranch to provide meaningful work for people with mental illness and substance abuse challenges.

Ideal candidates will have carpentry and woodworking experience, mechanical aptitude, ability and patience to teach shop skills, physical capability to participate in shop work, and the interest to work in a therapeutic community.

Other responsibilities include: committee participation, rotating/occasional evening and weekend coverage, on-call rotation, and medication administration.  The Shop Manager position is full-time, primarily with day hours (8 am-4 pm), Monday through Friday, and is located at our Cuttingsville, VT location.

Ideal candidates must have knowledge and experience with carpentry and woodworking; mechanical aptitude; ability and patience to teach Shop Skills;willingness/commitment to participate in and foster the therapeutic community millieu; ability to create appropriate challenges for each individual participating in Shop crew; ability to complete physical work consisting of moderate (20 lbs.) lifting, carrying, etc. Work is both indoor and outdoor during all seasons.

Clinical Team Leader

The Clinical Team Leader (or "CTL") position fosters the Mission of Spring Lake Ranch through daily formal/therapeutic and informal/community interaction with clients. CTLs are responsible for general recovery support, clinical oversight, assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, family communication and documentation in support of the recovery process for 6-8 clients. Though the Clinical Team Leader serves as the primary advisor for the clients on their caseload, they work very closely and collaboratively with a variety of other staff to foster the recovery process and empower each individual. 

Clinical Team Leaders model and mentor therapeutic relationship skills, professionalism, ethical boundaries, and recovery skill support to other staff. Other responsibilities include: committee participation, developing and providing topical staff training/orientation, 12-step group/programming utilization, overnight on-call rotation, coordinating teams for client advising, rotating/occasional evening and weekend coverage, medication administration and med room backup. The CTL position is full time, primarily with day hours (9am-5pm), Mondays-Fridays, and is located at our Cuttingsville, VT location.
