Spring Lake Ranch Therapeutic Community s searching for a Cook, Responsible for the preparation of meals for the community (up to 85 people), with an emphasis on a healthy diet for all. Assist Food Service Manager with all aspects of kitchen management, including assuming leadership of the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Manager. Successful candidate will demonstrate a desire to work  in a therapeutic environment and be excited to have casual/informal contact with residents and staff throughout their shift.

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experince, be ServSafe certified or be willing to be certified, have knowledge of food service "best practices," have excellent kitchen cleanliness habits, and have knowledge of nutrition and dietary special needs (ie gluten-free and vegan diets). Must be available to fill in for other cooks during sick or vacation times, including weekends and holidays. 

Schedule for the position is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 8am-6pm.
