campus at Spring Lake Ranch resembles a small village. The Main House
is at the center with a large front lawn for recreation and celebrations.
A short walk from the center will bring you to each of the seven houses
where residents live with house advising staff.
Each
resident has a single room, with shared living areas, bathrooms and laundry
facilities. The residences house from three to eight people. Nearby there
are houses for senior staff where, for instance, the Director and his
family or perhaps the Farm Manager and his family live.
The
community aspect at the Ranch is most often visible at meals. Staff
children and guests in the dining room add a home-like feel that is not
often found in previous settings most residents have experienced. Holidays,
birthdays and departures are celebrated with the entire community, and
many rich Ranch traditions are associated with these events.
