Ways of Giving to Spring Lake RanchSpring Lake Ranch is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that derives its funding from fees and donations. There are a number of different ways gifts may be made to the Ranch. Each of these giving vehicles is important to serve the immediate and future financial needs of our program. Annual Fund Gifts Each year we appeal to our friends and supporters to make an annual gift. Most of this money goes into the Wayne and Elizabeth Sarcka Scholarship Fund, named for the Ranch’s founders, to provide assistance throughout the year to those who need the services of the Ranch but do not have the resources to pay the full charge. If you would like to donate please send your check to the address below. For gifts of securities please contact Alice McGarey-Martin at the phone number below. Spring Lake Ranch Endowment Fund Our endowment fund was established in 1992 to honor Michael & Phyllis Wells, who have made such a long and outstanding contribution to the Ranch, Michael as director for 35 years and Phyllis as financial manager and advisor to many residents. The endowment funds have grown substantially since then. Our hope is to continue to build the endowment through gifts and bequests and use the income to support operations and scholarships each year. Bequests and Planned Gifts Bequests can be made to the Ranch through a donor making a specific provision in their will. All bequests are incorporated into the long term endowment funds of Spring Lake Ranch. Annuity Gifts. Spring Lake Ranch has recently established a Gift Annuity program. Donors support Spring Lake Ranch by making a gift of cash, marketable securities or other property. In exchange, Spring Lake guarantees to pay a fixed income for life, based on the suggested annuity rates set forth by the American Council on Gift Annuities. A portion of the income paid to you will be tax free. The agreement may include a second life such as a spouse. The older the annuitant, the higher the level of income. A Charitable Remainder Gift or another form of planned gift makes Spring Lake the final beneficiary of a trust set up for the maintenance of an individual who could be a former or current resident at the Ranch or in Aftercare, or a group of individuals. Any trust instrument can be used to provide a remainder gift. |
