Spring Lake Ranch was founded in 1932 by Wayne and Elizabeth Sarcka, and has operated throughout its long history on the principle of treating people as people, acknowledging their challenges and drawing out their strengths. Through shared work on a Vermont farm and a vibrant community experience in a safe environment, we help people rebuild themselves after the devastation of mental illness and substance abuse.
We recognize that individuals grow and progress at different rates. Our program allows residents to move at their own pace through a continuum of care that offers a spectrum of options. Whether at our Royce Street transitional home, in an individual apartment in our Townhouse, or in an independent apartment in the city of Rutland, residents who transition into our Rutland Program can flex their wings in an open but supported environment.
