LynnLynn J. Pilcher ­– Executive Director

Lynn served as Spring Lake Ranch’s Assistant Director for more than 10 years before taking over as Executive Director in 2014. During her time as Assistant Director, she also held the title of Director of Resident Services and was responsible for overseeing the clinical aspect of the program. As Executive Director, Lynn is responsible for the overall operation of Spring Lake Ranch, including the Rutland Program. Seeing a greater need for clinical support for residents and families, she was integral in the expansion of clinical services in the past few years. It is her belief that the integration of work, clinical, and community create the optimal opportunity for recovery to occur. While Lynn’s focus involves working with board committees, developing strategic vision and budgets, she still values the times she works directly with residents on crew, in the kitchen doing dishes, or helping out in any way she can to make a resident or his/her family have a great experience at the Ranch.

LizElizabeth Karle – Business Manager
MBA, Accounting; Southern New Hampshire University
BS, Accounting; Bentley University

Liz came to Spring Lake Ranch in 2013 as the Assistant Business Manager and worked her way up to Business Manager in 2016. Prior to joining the Ranch, Liz worked at a private accounting firm and a little on her own before realizing that while numbers are great, she wanted more interaction with people. Liz lives just down the road with her husband and their daughter, Maya, who often joins us for holidays.

 

MaryMary Mitiguy – Director of Human Resources
MBA, Organizational Development; Pepperdine
BA, Biology; Canisius College
Mary joined the Ranch as Director of Human Resources in 2016. She has worked in human resources and organizational development in various industries, including manufacturing, construction, financial services and insurance for more than 30 years. She loves the Ranch because she believes in the community and at any time, chickens appear on her office windowsills. Mary enjoys hiking and skiing with her children, gardening, and knitting by the wood stove with her dogs nearby.

Rachel Rachel Stark – Director of Admissions & Outreach
MBA, Corporate Finance; Fordham University
BA, Economics; Fordham College
Rachel came to the Ranch after a 16-year career in finance in the New York Metropolitan area. After her own struggles with addiction and related mental health issues, Rachel was hired in 2007 as a House Advisor and hasn’t left since. Rachel took over the responsibility of Admissions and Business Development in 2009. She is a passionate believer in our model of work therapy and community. Rachel lives on the hill, and can often be found paddle boarding on Spring Lake as soon as it gets moderately warm out.


Tim Carrigan - Admissions Coordinator & Family Liaison
Tim joined the Spring Lake Ranch team in October 2010. Prior to his current role as Admissions Coordinator and Family Liaison, he worked as a Recovery Coach assisting Resident Services. Tim is available to residents in recovery from substance abuse challenges and coordinates the Ranch's AA/NA/MA meeting schedule. In his role, he also serves as the evening duty person. While born and raised in Vermont, Tim previously worked in the fashion industry in large metropolis' including Los Angeles and New York City. He lives on the hill. 

PatriciaPatricia Dannenbrink - Overnight Support Staff
Patricia has worked at the Ranch since April 2018, providing support for residents during the night. In addition to the Ranch, she also serves as a Para-Educator with Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union. Her previous experience includes working as a Dual Diagnosis Specialist and Substance Abuse Counselor at Merced County Mental Health in California, Counselor at Valley State Prison for Women, and House Manager at Atwater Clean and Sober Living Home. 

 

John Freeman – Physical Plant Manager
AS; Seattle Community College
John joined the Spring Lake Ranch team in 2008, overseeing the maintenance of the SLR campus. Prior to his time at Spring Lake Ranch, John worked on boats, was an EMT, and owned his own business in Washington and Vermont. John loves being on boats or near the water, so it’s only fitting that his favorite place to be at the Ranch is at the lake. He recently celebrated 32 years sober. He lives with his two wonderful daughters and his wife.  

Nathan Hewitt – Maintenance Technician
Paul Smith’s College
Nathan has worked at Spring Lake Ranch since 2012 and is an important member of the maintenance team. Prior to his time at SLR, he worked as a self-employed logger and carpenter. His favorite place to be is at the lake! He lives with his wife, Christina, and their four children.

Elicia2Elicia Mailhiot – Outreach and Admissions Coordinator
MBA Candidate, Management; Fitchburg State University
BS, Communications; Castleton University

Elicia joined Spring Lake Ranch in December 2017 and serves as the primary support and coordinator for all of the Ranch’s communications, marketing, and development efforts. She comes to SLR from a small college in nearby Rutland where she served as Associate Director of Communications. She enjoys reading, kayaking, and trips to the lake with her partner and their Goldendoodle, Bruin. 

 

Suzan Marshall - Evening Support Staff
Suzan has worked at Spring Lake Ranch since 2014, providing support for residents during the evening. She has a background in social work and education. 

Peggy Ranney – Housekeeper
Peggy has worked at Spring Lake Ranch for nearly 6 years and you can often find her around the Main House happily humming while she vacuums or checking in with residents to see how their day is going. Peggy makes sure that our campus looks good and often shares with residents the benefits of keeping a clean space. Some of her favorite times at the Ranch are when we celebrate birthdays because she really likes cake!
 

Michael Spoth – Maintenance
Mike has been a member of the Spring Lake Ranch community since 2015. Prior to SLR, he built high-end homes in Vermont and Massachusetts for 20 years. Mike is an avid skier and has skied 100 plus days a season! He resides in East Wallingford and enjoys spending time with his two daughters, Jennah and Mittasille.

JanetJanet Stocker – Administrative Assistant
Janet has worked at Spring Lake Ranch since 2009, and is responsible for keeping everything and everyone at the Ranch on schedule! She also assists with fulfilling syrup, granola, and wood orders for the Ranch. Janet lives in Pittsfield with her cat, Punky.

 

 

 

Ingrid Wisell – Assistant Business Manager
BA, Spanish & Spanish for Business; Castleton University
Ingrid joined Spring Lake Ranch in 2016. Prior to her time at the Ranch, she worked in the seafood industry for seven years, opening and running a fresh fish market in nearby Rutland. Eating healthily is important to Ingrid, and bringing fresh fish to a land-locked state was an exciting challenge. Ingrid grew up in Shrewsbury. As a young adult, she lived abroad in Venezuela, Mexico, and Spain. But she always came back to Shrewsbury! Ingrid loves to take walks in the woods with her two dogs and to spend time at the dock at Spring Lake. She speaks Spanish, and enjoys any opportunity to use it.
