Supporting Our Work

When you give to Spring Lake Ranch, you are supporting individuals with mental health and substance use challenges on their journey toward recovery. As a private, not-for-profit residential treatment facility, donations are essential for us to continue to provide high-quality therapeutic programming, as well as for maintaining our 700-acre working farm and garden, buildings, resident cottages, sugaring operation, and more.

With the help of our generous donors, Spring Lake Ranch was able to award more than $250,000 in financial assistance during the 2017-18 fiscal year, making Spring Lake Ranch’s life-changing treatment available to families who could not otherwise afford it.

There are many ways that you can help Spring Lake Ranch advance its mission of providing opportunities for individuals with mental health challenges to grow and thrive, including:

  • Making a donation to the Sarcka Scholarship Fund
  • Purchasing our Vermont Maple Syrup
  • Making an in-kind donation
Ranch residents and staff appreciate donations of equipment (gifts-in-kind) which enhance our activities and programs. Examples include fitness equipment, chainsaws, generators, seeds and starts, and more.
  • Funding a special project or specific area of interest
Each Spring, the Ranch raises funds for a special capital project to enhance the time that residents stay with us, such as a tennis court and lake house. Our 2018 project includes renovations to the communal spaces within our Rutland Program locations. Love animals and want us to use your gift to purchase of a new flock of sheep? Many donors choose to designate their gift for an area they personally care about.
  • Visiting us at the weekly Farmers Market in Rutland
Residents and staff oversee the Ranch’s booth at the Rutland County Farmers Market every Saturday year-round. In addition to Maple Syrup, we also sell delicious homemade granola and pesto, yarn from our wool, pottery, weavings, cutting boards, and more.
  • Joining Enni’s Legacy Circle
Enni’s Legacy Circle honors individuals who support the community by making a planned gift.
  • By advocating for the Ranch or joining our Grateful Families Program
Former residents, parents, and friends of SLR frequently offer to speak with families who are considering a stay at the Ranch for their loved one. We are also looking for individuals interested in hosting informational gatherings for professionals and friends to learn more about our unique approach to recovery.
  • Serving as a Member
Spring Lake Ranch is governed by a board of directors who are chosen from a larger group of Members. Members assist in making decisions regarding the operation of the Ranch and includes former residents and staff, parents, doctors, clinicians, lawyers, local business people, and more.
  • Making a gift to the Wells Endowment Fund
